 7# Uses this.
 8
9I often get asked about my computing setup -- so I created this page to link it
10whenever. Also because I've seen it on other sites, and I don't want to miss
11out.
12
13## hardware
14
15**HP Envy 13 (2017)**: 13.3" FHD, i5 8250u, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD. This is
16my primarily computing device. A comfy machine, fairly future-proof
17machine that happens to support Linux/BSD incredibly well
18out-of-the-box.
19
20**Ducky One 2 SF**: 65% mechanical keyboard, Cherry MX Speed Silver
21switches. I've written about it in detail [here](/blog/ducky-one-2).
22
23**Logitech M221**: An el cheapo wireless mouse that mouses just enough.
24
25**Bose Soundsport Wired**: Wired earphones that sound good enough, and fit
26well. I also have their wireless model, but don't use them with my laptop.
27
28**OnePlus 6T**: Great phone for the price (SD 845, 8GB/128GB) -- running
29OmniROM microG.
30
31**iPad (6th generation)**: A very sophisticated e-reader. I must admit -- Apple
32Books offers a very nice reading experience.
33
34## software
35
36**OpenBSD**: Fantastic OS by fantastic devs. What's not to love? Also read
37[OpenBSD on the HP Envy 13](/blog/openbsd-hp-envy).
38
39**cwm**: The Calm Window Manager. The best out-of-the-box experience you can
40get in a window manager. Period.
41
42**st**: No BS terminal emulator. I use the "ligatures", "copyurl" and "bold is
43not bright" patches.
44
45**tmux**: Most of my actual window management happens here. I usually have
463 - 4 workspaces -- general throwaway terminals, work, music and IRC. It also
47handles scrollback for me, so that's nice.
48
49**cmus**: With [cmusfm](https://github.com/Arkq/cmusfm) for music.
50
51**weechat**: IRC client that's infinitely riceable.
52
53And the [dotfiles](https://github.com/icyphox/dotfiles) for all software
54mentioned, and more.
