7I often get asked about my computing setup -- so I created this page to link it
8whenever. Also because I've seen it on other sites, and I don't want to miss
 9out.

13## hardware
14
15**HP Envy 13 (2017)**: 13.3" FHD, i5 8250u, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD. This is
16my primary computing device. A comfy, fairly future-proof machine that
17happens to support Linux/BSD incredibly well out-of-the-box.
18
19**Ducky One 2 SF**: 65% mechanical keyboard, Cherry MX Speed Silver
20switches and blank DSA keycaps. I've written about it in detail
21[here](/blog/ducky-one-2).
22
23**Logitech M221**: An el cheapo wireless mouse that mouses just enough.
24
25**realme Buds Q2**: Truly wireless earphones, with ANC. Picked them up
26for 2500 INR (≈33 USD).
27
28**iPhone 13 mini**: The only actually small phone in the market (right
29now).
30
31## software
32
33**NixOS**: Had to switch to a Linux distribution for work, and this
34seemed liked the least-shit choice. I can't claim I understand even half
35of Nix (the language), but it gets the job done.
36
37**cwm**: The Calm Window Manager. The best out-of-the-box experience you can
38get in a window manager. Period.
39
40**tmux**: Most of my actual window management happens here. I usually have
413 - 4 workspaces -- general throwaway terminals, work, music and IRC. It also
42handles scrollback for me, so that's nice.
43
44**weechat**: IRC client that's infinitely riceable.
45
46And the [dotfiles](https://github.com/icyphox/dotfiles) for all software
47mentioned, and more. You might be interested in the `old` branch for my
48pre-NixOS configs.
